Does anybody have a ballpark estimate of what it might cost to fix something like this? Thanks! If burnt or burn smell you will probably need an overhaul. Price could vary but expect about $1,200 to $1,500. Believe it or not, I had a customer who called a trans. shop and they quoted her a price of $2000 over the phone. It got towed to me and it turned out to be a broken cv joint. Make sure they get checked first before you spend money on a trans.
