We just changed the engine in my saturn. Automatic Transmission shifted fine b4 engine swap. We started and the car shift 1, 2, 3 times then the engine rev like the car jumped to neutral. Service light came on. I thought I messed up the Computer by leaving the batt disconnected too long but when I took it to the dealership to get it flashed they said it did not need flashing cause no codes were missing. I took it to 3 Chevy dealers and they all said the same thing. So I went home changed the fluid, filter, and speed sensor. The problem is still there. Anyone know what's wrong with my trans? Ugh pls help!

Are there any codes being stored in the PCM?

You said "Service Engine Soon" light came on? There should be a code waiting if so,

Yes I agree but no code came up and i find that odd. The Service light came on but not the service engine soon light. The service light is just for the transmission

Sorry - plain reminder light isn't what I was thinking. Best I can say is that if this worked prior to the job than recheck all elctrical connections and linkage from shifter working properly where things were disturbed,

The transmission is about the only thing that doesn't turn the "service" light on.
From what i can see this car doesn't even have a TCM.

SERVICE (WRENCH) TELLTALE

The SERVICE (Wrench) telltale is turned On by the cluster when it receives a command from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) , Body Control Module (BCM) , or the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) , The PCM or BCM will turn the SERVICE (Wrench) telltale On for all non-emission related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that require that a telltale be turned On (some DTCs do not turn on a telltale but are stored to aid in diagnosis).
The SERVICE (Wrench telltale will also be turned On if the EBTCM has detected a fault in its own warning indicator system. If the Antilock Braking System (ABS) system cannot turn on its own telltale, a message will be sent to the cluster to turn on the SERVICE (Wrench) telltale.
The SERVICE (Wrench) telltale will be displayed for 2-3 seconds during startup for bulb check purposes.

The trans is controlled by the PCM, there should be codes with what you describe...
