The other night I drove home and when I turned around, I had no reverse. I rolled the truck down, turned around using gravity, and only had 3rd or 4th. I took the shifter off thinking it might be the linkage and found the coupler (part that the shifter sits in) loose on the top shaft of the transmission. Now, when I can get it in neutral, it sounds like it's grinding. Can I just tighten this up? If so, does anyone know what tool I need. I had no problems before this and there was absolutely no indication that anything was wrong. Thanks for your help. Have you checked the fluid?
