2005/3 Suzuki Swift SE-Z looses power while driving Sign In

I've had this problem from day one of arrival from Japan. At first it was suspected that it was the Thermometer. I had our local mechanic took it out but same problem still occurred. It starts well and then when I make various stops or it drives for more than 30 minutes it just dies. After 1 or 2 minutes it will start again. Please Help. The car is 2005/3

No such part as "thermometer". If you are referring to the thermostat, then you need to put that back in ASAP. You can't just simply remove them any more. They are required. That couldn't have anything to do with your problem anyway.

The only way you are ever going to find that problem is that someone is going to have to determine what function is dropping out first at the moment it dies. That may not be easy to do.

Thank you Hammer Time...yes, I meant to say Thermostat. It was advised by my local mechanic and also from the car dealer that I bought it from, and so that's why I had it done.
Thanks for the advice.

Furthermore, my mechanic tried using I think what they call OPD to diagnose the problem but upon connecting to the machine...it says to input some sort of pin# or code. Would appreciate any info you can give me on this. Thanks.

There is not a competent mechanic or dealer in the country that would recommend that you remove a thermostat. You must have been talking to the car washer.

All "crank, no start" conditions are approached in the same way. Every engine requires certain functions to be able to run. Some of these functions rely on specific components to work and some components are part of more than one function so it is important to see the whole picture to be able to conclude anything about what may have failed. Also, these functions can ONLY be tested during the failure. Any other time and they will simply test good because the problem isn't present at the moment.
If you approach this in any other way, you are merely guessing and that only serves to replace unnecessary parts and wastes money.

Every engine requires spark, fuel and compression to run. That's what we have to look for.

These are the basics that need to be tested and will give us the info required to isolate a cause.

1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester. If none found, check for power supply on the + terminal of the coil with the key on.

2) Test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power supply at one side of the injector with the key on.

3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure, also noticing if the pressure holds when key is shut off.

Once you have determined which of these functions has dropped out,
you will know which system is having the problem.
