This tranny is actually a 1999 model with the worn valve body tcc bore. I replaced it with one from my 2000 tranny that I know was good. The old valve body had a hard 1-2 shift as well a a late converter lock up. Now the converter locks up just fine but shifts even harder now. I have to mention that I installed a Corvette servo. It was installed when I rebuilt the transmission. I missed the worn valve body at that time. Not sure What kind of shift I will get with these. I am wondering if I still have the pcm thinking my tranny is slipping and do I need to get that code p1870 cleared? My code scanner does not clear trans codes on this old model. Any help would be wonderful.

Hello, This maybe shifting hard for two reasons. One, the corvette servo, this will make it shift hard right off the bat. Two, if there is a 1870 code in the system, the computer will raise line pressure to try to save the trans. If you can get that code cleared. Gary
