1992 CAPRICE WAGON (rare) needs transmission identified

I have a 1992 Chevy Caprice Station Wagon Full sized 9 passenger with a 350 V8, and the miles from highway and daily driver usage? too far gone to count! (transmission needing to be replaced because its worn out completely.) The transmission ID numbers showing on passenger side on the ID plate just above the pan at rear of transmission shows as 2BWM234A , so is this a 700R4, or one of those 4L60/4L60 E chevy transmissions ? I have the chevy 1989 through 92 car/truck/van 700R4 transmissions compatability list, but i need to know which one of those 3 transmissions being the 700R4, or the 4L60/4L60 E needs to be identified and then replaced, ive had the car 4 years and just this year recently. that poor Caprice Wagon finally wore out its transmission and the transmission is already out waiting for a replacement.

700r4 and 4L60 are different names for the same transmission. Of course, gm had made improvements through out the years. One easy way to tell the difference between a 4L60 and a 4L60e is the 4L60 has a throttle valve cable attached to the throttle linkage and a mechanical governor. Yours should be a 4L60. The rebuilder will know, or should.
It's important that your throttle valve cable isn't worn out, stretched, seized, or broken and that it is adjusted correctly, or you could smoke your rebuilt transmission clutches. Also important to flush or replace the transmission cooler.
