03 crown Victoria police interceptor tiny bubbles in transmission fluid dipstick

03 crown Victoria police interceptor tiny bubbles in transmission fluid dipstick Sign In

 i noticed a small amount of bubbles on my transmission dip stick a week ago so i changed the filter and transmission fluid(what came out of the pan area) but still a small amount of bubbles on the dipstick fluid level looks fine i put the right fluid in and it does not look or smell burnt i know Transmission Tailshaft rear Seal leaks a tiny bit and it always shifted a little hard around 45mph and the cruise control stopped working while driving 65 mph on the interstate( i dont know if its related) and yes i checked the fuses other than that nothing else i can think of more info below

03 crown Victoria police interceptor 90000 miles

fixes and pending fixes with my CVPI

tailshaft rear seal leaking status: not fixed
transmission range sensor status: changed(fix check engine light and flashing o/d light- OBD code p0705)

LCM status:fixed replaced LCM(head lights were going out at random)

Intake manifold status:fixed replaced(10-28-12) manifold and gaskets(was leaking by the thermostat and causing misfires)

Check engine light code p0430 status: not fixed


Parts changed since i had the car 07-01-12
spark plugs, air filter, brakes, tranny range sensor, intake manifold, intake gaskets,LCM,fuel injector O rings,fuel filter

Are they air bubbles or water bubbles?

they are air because if i touch it they go away

It may be drawing air into the fluid somewhere internally. You probably want to let a qualified trans shop look at it.

I would suspect the seal on the transmission filter, might be valve body gasket issue or pump issue. If it's aerating the fluid it would have to be on the suction side.
Try replacing with a motorcraft filter and see if it fixes your problem that would be the cheapest solution.
