The fix is to replace the electric motor. There is no recall for US HHRs, but if you go to Saturn ION they have a recall for Canadian and a Campaign to increase the warranty coverage on the electric power steering system. Both use the same assist systems...hmmm Something stinks. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
