Brand new car feels dangerous to drive. Sign In

Got a brand new seat Toledo 2017 1.6 diesel 2 days ago and I can't get over how badly it handles but it must be more than just how the car is.

When the steering wheel is held with both hands at the centre the car will slowly begin to drive to the right ( drivers Side)

When i'm taking corners or curves at anything over 15mph the handling feels really bad and find myself having to brake a little and correct the steering as it feels like it may spin... not to mention at times it feels like one of the wheels is dragging when I begin to straighten up the car.

When driving straight I can feel like the connection of the tyres to the road doesn't feel right.

Problem is I have booked it into a dealership for tomorrow but don't want to go blabbering all of the above as to anyone but myself it might not make much sense... I wish I knew the technical terms to describe to them.

I know the steering to the right might be an alignment issue but how would I describe the handling on corners and having to constantly readjust/brake as the car feels like it is gonna go out of control.

As said the car is brand new it had 160 miles on the clock but that was with the car being delivered from another dealership and was driven down.

any advice would be great, it is under warranty and I know I can take it back and ask for a new one, but i'm planning on using it for a taxi and already have the insurance and taxi plates paid and registered to this car.

thanks

They don't sell this to the US but doesn't matter. It's new and under 100% warranty so just take it back. Look at tyres now you'll probably already see the odd wear like a saw tooth type wear or feel it clearly if still very low miles.

Anything could have happened in transporting the car or just moved around before it was sold. Hey - cars go on assorted carriers chained not to move and stuff can happen,
