2006 Grand Caravan Power Steering Pump Replacement Sign In

I have a 2006 Grand Caravan w a 3.8 that is in need of a power steering pump replacement. I have searched online for a good 'how-to' guide for the procedure but haven't really found any that appear to be trustworthy except the following. Does this sound legit to you guys?

REMOVAL - PUMP (3.3L/3.8L ENGINE)
--Remove the (-) negative battery cable from the battery and isolate cable.
--Remove the wiper module (unit).
--Raise the vehicle.
--Remove the drive belt splash shield.
--Remove the pressure hose routing bracket bolt.
--Lower the vehicle.
--Remove cap from power steering fluid reservoir.
--Using a siphon pump, remove as much power steering fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.
--Disconnect the pressure hose from the pump.
--Disconnect the fluid supply hose from the pump.
--Remove the three front mounting bolts through the pulley
--Remove the pump (with pulley) through the engine compartment rocking it over the aluminum bracket.

That sounds about as detailed as it is going to get.

Be advised that you will likely need a pulley remover and installer tool because most pumps don't come with the pulley and it has to be pressed off and back onto the new pump.

Thanks Hammer. I should be able to rent one from my local Autozone. I can still use the old pulley as long as its in good condition right?

Yes, as long as you don't damage it taking it off.
