Tom I sure thank you for the response---I forgot to tell you something however--(you should like this one)--the day before this problem occurred I had disconnected the battery for a terminal cleaning---yeah I am one brick short of a load-- i know these new fangled cars are loaded with computer junk--- today I pullled the neg cable for a minute--reconnected it and everything works---can you believe that? I have had the battery out before with no consequences-- guess praying is good for something after all--- fine cat you have there --thanks again dl
