no heat buick regal 1989

I have a 1989 buick regal and just recently changed the heater fan you can hear the fan working but absolutly no air comes out of the vents is there some type of door that lets air in the vents?where is it or what else could it be

This could be a few things. Make sure the squirrel cage didn't fall off of the motor shaft. Check the ducting to make sure it isn't separated and has no blockage in the ductwork. Also, it is possible the fan is wired wrong and is turning backwards. This can be checked by reversing the wires and turning it on. If the fan runs backwards it will be pulling air instead of pushing air. Steve
