no air coming out of vents Sign In

2004 Ford Crown Victoria / police package with 4.6 V8. The air conditioning continues to produce cold air and the fan can be heard changing speeds with the turn of the switch, but very little air can be felt coming out of all the vents. It feels and sounds just like if you close the vents with the air on high. If the cars sits all night, it will reset itself and will work for a few hours the next day before it quits again. It does this on both normal and max air. I have looked to see if any bags have been sucked up, but none have been found yet. Please tell me whats wrong with it. Duggan

Next time it does not blow air, pull over somewhere that is safe, leave the car running with a/c on, raise the hood and see if the a/c lines are iced up. If they are, replace the low pressure switch.
