intermitant AC Sign In

on 2002 frontier AC works ok until i shut truck off and restart then won't work.usually on very hot days.any thoughts would be appreciated

It just doesn't work that way. We don't have a crystal ball to know what is failing on your truck. This has to be systematically troubleshooted by following a wiring diagram WHILE THE PROBLEM IS PRESENT.

That depends on what tools & electrical skills you have....

Obviously you would want to see if there was 12v & a good ground at the clutch while the failure is present.... If you have both then you have a bad clutch....

If there isn't any power to the clutch, then I would go to the relay....Finding what is missing there will point you in the right direction....If nothing is missing....You have a bad relay....

tomas23: First check since you said it works cold. When you restart it how long has it run? Then do you see the outer hub of compressor turning or not when it's NOT cooling for you? If that much confuses you about it we can't go anywhere IMO on just a forum,
