1995 toyota pickup with lots of miles I just replaced the blower motor, it works but the fan speed switch only comes on when i pull it out and off when i push it in. the high and low are not working. i was wondering if i could just but a switch and splice it into the wireing to get the fan working right. i realy have no mechanical skills but need to get things done with what i have. thanks BC

You can replace the factory switch with another factory switch ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Cost about $40. Hopefully the blower switch connector isn't melted. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Look at your connector and make sure your terminals aren't toasted. If they are burnt and you go to install another switch, the resistance of that poor connection will get hot and cook your switch again. If you can get hold of a pigtail harness for the switch that would be great, but usually you end up making your own pigtail with new terminal ends.
