Can someone please tell me what could cause this problem ? If the coolant level is good in the radiator, your going to have to take it to a shop that has an enhanced scan tool that can retrieve trouble codes stored in the HVAC control module and be able to view temperature door counts to see if the actual door position and requested door position jive or not. If they don't jive, it's possible that you could have a faulty air door actuator. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
