Very Odd/Wild Air Conditioning Issue - PLEASE help Sign In

Hello. Thanks for reading this, it should be a good one for you to diagnose. I have a 2003 Acura RL and a few months back, my starter (the original one) went out. I had to go to a mechanic that I did not know. He was nice enough, just starting his shop, but they get in over their heads (their admission) with regards to how hard the starter was to get to in my car. The job went three days longer then forecast as a result and I can tell that towards the end, they were really rushing it.

No longer after, my air conditioner starting acting up in the most odd way. The air is plenty cold, and the air pressure, the force of the air coming out- as strong as it ever has been. But it started very randomly not working. When I would turn on and off the air, nothing. Now is when the weirdness kicks in.

The air conditioning would not work, then I would run into an errand and come back out- and it could be fine for weeks. Very random. Then I stumbled onto something. When it was working, if I drove over a high but not all that wide speed bump (no, Im not kidding)- it would suddenly kick on. I now know where all said variety of speed bumps are in my local area Sly LOL

Again, none of this started until they fixed my starter. They refuse to return my calls and being the guy is just starting out, a father-son, Im not gonna hassle them. I dont appreciate how they are acting, but in this economy, Im not going to do that to them. But I dont want to get taken, either, being told I need to completely replace everything.

What could this be? Does any of this spark off an immediate reaction of what it could be? Anticipated costs to fix it?

Thank you VERY much for any ideas on whats going on

Wow, I must be tired- my grammar sucks, sorry. Hope I made sense. BIG CORRECTION. I meant to say below that when the air conditioning is NOT working, it is then that I start hunting for and utllizing the speed bump method.

Thanls

If a bump of any sort is making anything change I'd be looking for a bad connection somewhere and if starter was that difficult look for wires involved in replacing it first,
