Toyota Echo 2001 AC system broken Sign In

Air conditioning system in Toyota Echo 2001 does not work...long story that I will try to make short.

Should I even try fixing or preparing my air conditioning system for final specialist mechanic filling of fluid?

I believe that one pipe is clogged and that the system exploded or released pressure, blew valve near pressure pump. I am considering rebuilding the system, testing clog/flow of different parts of system, buying used parts from Pick-and-pull to repair system and then allow a professional to complete the refilling of fluid.

Details:
I believe that the system got clogged (see below for details) and then blew at some week point in the system (i.e.-a valve). Does this happen? My stove top espresso machine allows pressure out of a safety valve when pressure builds too much. Does an air conditioning system have a release valve when clogged? or does it just blow at weakest point?

First, after grandma rear ended a stopped car while transporting the kids in my Toyota Echo, I did have a neighbor do the body work; good job neighbor! I noticed minor crimp in air conditioning line that runs across front of car to the condenser, but the system worked fine...for a while...

After 4-6 months it stopped working fine. Sluggishness when I put on the air conditioner on freeway, screeching belt, almost stalling when idling. After oil change/check-up, Toyota mechanic said that alternator belt needed tightening; probably his reading of the screech.

I tightened the belt. Then started running the engine whiled parked.....pop (loud) with signs of air conditioning fluid sprayed around region of air conditioning pressure pump. then car started idling fine.

Now car runs fine, no sluggishness when air conditioner is turned on (it does not work). I do get minor gurgle sound when coming to a stop at a stop sign, especially when stopping on a down hill slope. Does Gurgle demonstrate signs of minor accumulation of remaining air conditioning fluid arriving at pump?

If I do rebuild the system, how could I test various segments of system for proper flow or clogging? Blow air through the pipe? Condenser?

Which valve probably broke/popped? a designed weak point near pump to allow for easy replacement?

I can drive forever without air conditioning, but the next owner may want it.

Thank you ahead of time for any wise advice. Sorry for the long story.

If you have never done ac work or diagnosed ac problems before, you should leave it to the professionals.

There is a safety valve on the compressor that will open up if the pressures get too high. Why those pressures got too high could be caused for many reasons.

Let your ac repair shop have a look at it.
