No heat in 05 Santa Fe Sign In

2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L 160K miles

The truck didn't have any AC this summer however it would still pull the heat off the engine. Now sometimes it will blow hot air and sometimes it's just cold air.

Re: No heat in 05 Santa Fe Sign In

The lack of A/C is probably a separate issue than this "intermittent" heat provided.

1st thing is know coolant level is truly full not just at a recovery tank but at the radiator which is difficult to know if no cap on the radiator itself.

Then also check feel (careful here) of temp of heater hoses to and from the heater core close to the firewall. Should be pretty warm/hot going in and slightly less coming out/return to engine if normal. Looking to find if they lack heat while this is happening or very cool coming out while this happens,
