Location of Blower Motor On 97 Buick LeSabre Sign In

Hello all,

I have a 97 Buick LeSabre Custom, and for the life of me I cannot locate the bower motor....I know it has to be some where easy to find.

But what lead up to this is my blower motor stoped working this summer, and now it is winter...I should get to replace it before I reallty need it. I am fairly certin it is just the motor, just before it stopped working I was able to hear the squeel/binding sound when I turned it on... It was working on all speeds (well sort of, the last days of it it would only work on high with lots of complaining by the fan)

But, I want to remove the blower to see if it is bound and needs to be replaced..or if it is something else.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

It's right under the dash on the passenger side. There may be a plastic cover on the bottom of the dash.

I stand corrected. This one is under the hood. I attached a picture.

Just a warning to save a real headache: The squirrel cage may not come with new motor and the one stupid nut could be reverse threaded. Check new motor hard before busting old one off!

Success!! The old blower motor was shot. And the new one is in, working great just in time for a Cold spell 13 deg this morning.

Just a little heads up to anyone who does this on a LeSabre.... You will need to remove 2 brackets to get the blower out. Save your self time and remove them 1st before unbolting the blower.

Thanks to all for the help....heat is nice!!!
