I was going to evacuate and recharge a couple of vehicle's A/C and I have canisters of "Interdynamics 307 R-134a Plus" Refrigerant. However, this has PAG oil and sealant in the can with R134a (11oz R134a + 2oz oil +1oz treatment additive), and without withdrawing existing oil I'm concerned about overloading oil in the system (one vehicle @ 1.43 lb and one at 1.12lb R134a charge). What's the best way to purge oil out? Blast with N2 into the low side and have high side port open then have to open drain plug on compressor while collecting any oil for comparison to labelled amount? Even then, having a 11/2 ratio of refrigerant to oil in new charge may not match specs. Alternative could be to return what I got and get plain R134a? Opinions welcome.

It's not the oil that is the problem, it's the sealer. Take those cans and throw them in the trash. Find some virgin R134A.

Care to elaborate on your negative opinion of refrigerant sealant additive?

Yes, it's nothing but liquid glue and will proceed to gum up most of your system and destroy the shop's recovery machine if they evacuate the system.

Ditto here! Throw that out! No sealants, both as they don't work and could cause horrific problems. If just charging this thing for whatever reason use only pure stuff. Oil isn't lost for normal use or super slow leaks.
U didn't ask but way over oiled in a higher capacity system A/C may work but be real erratic output temps. Listed products are all the vehicles should have at correct amounts or new they would have played tricks,

Thanks for the responses, and no offense, even I had initial hesitancy to sealants, but how old is the information/experience that you are basing your comments on? Anyone with direct experience with Interdynamics product care to comment as well? I might well agree with the negative opinions based on what was available years ago, but what about now? "Better safe than sorry" is a reliable axiom but R&D can improve any product.

If you want to be a rep for the manufacturer, go right ahead. You asked for an opinion and you got two from professional technicians that have specialized in AC repair for many years and still do.

Since you don't want the advice I will close this question now. Good luck with that.
