Good Day, I have a 2006 Toyota corolla and my head beams are gone. The lights come on just fine but the lo beams don't work at all. Needless to say, I am driving about with my head beams on and that's not really something I wish to do as it is somewhat rude. So I suppose my question is it a fuse problem or a controller or are both headlamps just due for an overhaul? These are the original lamps and i don't mind of course but I just want to be certain... Thanks for any help in advance. Cheers Edit: Sorry for posting in the wrong category.

Have you actually checked the bulbs yet? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

No, I am just looking for a place to start. That's where you start, with the bulbs.

No, I am just looking for a place to start. That's where you start, with the bulbs. That's what I thought, I am just making certain that there wasn't another component to consider. Automotive repair has risen to a new level of complexity, far beyond that of what it was (quite sad in some ways). Thanks for your response. Cheers

Not so much different for this car. Shows low beam bulbs are separate from high beams and simply get used more and have a life expectancy. Choose easiest one - usually turn counter clockwise and pull or perhaps some wire bail holds it in. DO NOT TOUCH GLASS OF BULBS WITH FINGERS USE CLEAN PAPER OR GLOVE. It probably will look dark or burnt inside the glass. Why both? 1. You many not have noticed having just one for a while and if original or same age they usually do go close to each other by time of use. Yes - and don't think this car but some are placed where they are a pest to get to most from behind lens. The lesser performance the more the life expectancy FYI unless you want brighter one and pay more too. If burnt - it's probably just bulbs. If not then check the power gets to the socket and if so check ground at the socket as well and go from there. Cheaper and better if just blown to do both even when you may only need one sometime. This is routine IMO and in reality. Yours should look like this....... Follow any instructions on package and probably just be done with it, T
