Honda Accord 93 hot/cold knob broken? Sign In

I've had this car for 2 years. Late last summer I was fiddling with the hold/cold dial, which had always been a little hard to turn, when it gave way rather suddenly. Now the car blows only hot air, getting to be a problem in these hot GA summers.

What I'm thinking is that there was some physical lever that snapped when I forced the dial. I'd like to get in there and see.

How do I open the dash? Any words of caution? Advice?

One overly warm southern girl thanks you!

More than likely, if the button is physically not striped on the back, you may have a problem with the cable to the blend door. Some how, the blend door is not moving and unfortunatly its stuck in the position to direct flow through the heater core. Get a manual from auto zone or advanced for your year and car and it will show you how to get in your dash. Beware though! Taking a dash apart is a real pain. Advance at your own risk!
