Heating & A/C issues!

For the past few years I've had to deal with no heat or air conditioning whatsoever in my Pontiac Grand Prix GT. If I turn on the heat or A/C and start driving, it'll start working, but if I'm just sitting there with the engine running it's a no-go. Even when I'm moving it's so limited it might as well not even be there. I don't hear anything when I put my ear up to the vents, either. Obviously, these are both major issues-I need working brakes and a heater, especially with winter coming up. Are these minor issues? What exactly is going on here?

One at a time here and need more info. Brakes: Pretty much you have to take a visual inspection of each brake to know what it will take to fix them up. This of course is primal to using the car at all! Heat and air: Is the blower even blowing air thru vents - any vents? For that, start with checking fuse and then power making it to the blower motor and we go from there. What year is this car? T
