My heater core has gone out, and my blazer has AC. Does anyone know if i have to deal with draining the Freon or can i just pull the heater core and reconnect the hoses until i get a new core??

Heater core should NOT require touching the "Freon" aka refrigerant. You can disconnect both heater hoses and put them together with a metal barbed metal adaptor till you fix the heater core. Found at hardware stores more than auto parts stores. Hoses will be a pest, cut them if needed and it's a great time to replace them anyway.

bypassing heater core is ok but some engines use the heater flow as a balance for engine temp so making a loop is better than just plugging both, if you want to buy some time. Good luck with the fix,
