Can't get hot air through vents Sign In

I'v got a mind boggler for you, my problem is my heat is not working. The blower is working fine, just blows cold air. Car has AC, but that hasn't worked since I got it and I'm not worried about it. Coolant level is good. The thermostat is okay, and the heater core gets up to temp. My vacuum lines aren't disconnected or anything because I can switch through all my modes. The blend door actuator also seems to be working. I believe it is electric because Whenever I turn the knob I can hear what sounds like and electric motor turning. Now, could it be possible that the motor is indeed turning but a gear may be cracked preventing it from closing the blend door? Or maybe the door itself is jammed somehow? If either were the case wouldn't I hear a sound indicating either of these, like a grinding or poping sound? The actuator doesn't seem to be making any sounds indicating a problem. It sounds like it is opening and closing the blend door the way it should. Please help me out, Im out of ideas. I tried checking online and the repair manuals at the library, nothing has given me an answer yet. I drive an 89 chevy corsica.

Found the problem. I traced the sound of the actuator to the drivers side. It turns out that the plasic piece that actuator grabs to open and close the blend door was striped out. So the motor was getting power and turning, it just wasn't grabbing anything. Its seems that somehow the grabber on the actuator became out of sink with the plastic piece and turned way further than what the door can actually turn, so it sripped that plastic. I am going to try a couple of things to sync the two back up. Im thinking just adjust the actuator via the tempreture dial until it matches the blend door coldest position, then disconnect the power, turn the dial to the coldest position and reconnnect the power and see if the actuator turns or not. If not I'm in business. If it does I'll just get a replacement part from the junkyard. I'll just wrap some duct tape around that plastic piece to beef it up and reattach the actuator. I hope this helps anyone else having a similar problem.
