Another Windstar AC problem Sign In

Another Windstar problem...With gauges on high and low sides low side reads 50-55 psi that is ok according to the book.. High side though goes up to 300 psi it should be 200-250 once again accourding to the book.... New compressor, Dryer and Orifice.. Blows Ice Cold Is correct for the low side pressure to build up to 55 or so than fall back while the High side builds up..

In general the pressures will go together and both are too high! Fans(s) need to work right or pressures will go up on both sides. The pressures might be ok for incredidble temps which I would know and won't work in. T

Should the gauges act together or react to one another? One down while the other is up? Also should the pressure be constant? Should it fluchutate? If yes how much? After a week it seems like the ac is not as cold as it was...... 90 + again today Keith

Both #s will go up respective to how how it is and this with engine speed and all systems working. Wild or quick fluctuations are not right. It should be pretty steady at the same RPM. If your compressor cut out #s will change rapidly and would and we'd be chasing down that problem. It should be on all the time in the 90s with A/C on full blast and doors open.

RH (relative humidity) will play a factor in A/C performance. T
