trailblazer is stuck on heat AC worked perfect yesterday this am, all 5 fan speeds work and will turn off but the ac buttons will not light up and there is no ac the compresson will not come on the dial for fan area settings will not work only heat comes out of the defrost no matter where you put it the two verticle levers for hot and cold do nothing seems like part of this control panel is dead I checked all of the fuses all are o.k. any help out there? Dan in Canada are you there ? you are the man thanks to all for any help dl

Hi,
I think Dan is taking some time off right now. This problem doesn't look good. The defrost only suggests a vacuum source problem but it isn't that simple. Even with that failure you get cold air but in the wrong places.
What MY is the vehicle. Any warranty? Guessing but it sounds like the control head. Certainly rule out any fuses involved. If this problem is all your responsibility and you want to take it on yourself hit back and I might be able to connect you to some folks who may know just what to test and how difficult the repair would be,
