Do a really good visual inspection of the electrical harnesses under the hood. Make sure they are not damaged or rubbing against sharp metal. With the ac turned on and vehicle running in park, move and manipulate the harnesses to see if it causes the compressor to engage. The movement of the engine with the transmission in reverse could be moving a harness and causing a compressor circuit to complete. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
