My 2004 Honda CRV A/C was working fine but had to drive through horrible rain storm. Now when the A/C or defrost is turned on it only runs for a couple of minutes, then the compressor drops out and the cold air stops of course--blower is fine. Both fans on the radiator turn on immediately with the A/C. Help! Also, the whole system was replaced 3 years ago.

See if there are any trouble codes stored in the ac amplifier.

1.Turn the ignition off
2.Turn the fan switch to off
3.Turn the ignition on, then press and hold the recirculation switch.
4.Within 10 seconds while holding the switch, press the rear defogger switch 5 times.
5.Once the system does a self diagnosis, the recirculation button will blink any trouble codes stored. They are two digit codes. If there are no codes being stored, the light won't blink.

6. If there is a problem with the evaporator temperature sensor, the AC light will either blink a code 14 or 15.

7. Let us know what codes are stored if any.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
