A/C blower motor problem Sign In

I have a 2008 Ford Edge and I am having a problem with my blower motor. I have replaced the blower fan and resister for my a/c system, but the fan still goes up and down in the speed, but when I tap the bottom of the fan in the old fan and new fan it goes full blast and then back to the up and down speed. I do not know what else to check and replace. Could you please give me advise on where to go next? I have automatic temp control so when I purchased the resister I made sure it was for the automatic control type.

You probably have some burnt out contacts in one of the plugs, probably at the blower motor. Look for melted or discolored plastic at the plug.
