I replaced the A/C compressor because the clutch had fried. now I need to recharge the system. Not real sure where to connect the hose to recharge the system. the coupling only fits onto the fitting on the accumulator. and WILL NOT fit onto the the other fitting which I believe is the low pressure line. SO I would like to know just which and where it the fitting that I should use to re charge the A/C On a 1995 pontiac transport with 3.8 engine?

The service port on the accumulator is the low pressure fitting. However, I strongly urge you to take your van to your friendly neighborhood ASE certified mechanic for service. If you've had compressor failure, there's possibly metal fragments loose in the system. The accumulator and orifice tube are probably past due for replacement. The correct amount of refrigerant and compressor oil is critical to long life and proper operation, as is evacuating air from the system.
