For about the past month, my AC/Heater blower won't come on immediately after starting the car. This happens no matter what speed I choose. Usually after several minutes or longer it'll turn on without so much as a hesitation. And it'll continue to work fine until I shut off the car again. There have been a couple occasions that it will turn on when I start the car, but for the most part, it doesn't. It hasn't been much of a problem right now because it's winter here in Houston. But in two months or so, the need for AC is going to be a must. Any ideas? BTW: This happens with vent, ac, defroster, and heat.

Without being able to check this in person it maybe that the lubricant and or dirt in the lubricant inside the blower motor has gone hard or pasty. When the car is cold this grease is more like glue and is holding the motor from turning. Once the car begins to warm up this grease softens and releases the motor? Just a guess but if true; your best bet would be to replace the blower motor. Dan. Canadian "EH"
