2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Air Conditioner Sign In

I've seen a few other posts about this - my 2012 jeep grand cherokee air conditioner stops working after driving for about an hour on the highway - i can hear it working but no air comes out of the vents. the dealer replaced the blower but nothing was fixed... I seen a few suggestions - that the problem is related to the door or the actuator. Does anyone know if replacing the door or actuator fixed the problem?

Hey - are you off warranty on this? Your description is much like a frozen (iced up) evaporator. It would look and might behave for a quick check and ice up, stop blowing cool air and or air flow would near quit. Common issue with these now a bit older but not much was leaking evaporators as the source of trouble.

Low charge can result in icing. So new this could be a lot of things so I strongly suggest you explain that it works and quits after that much time of use should steer techs the right way to solve this.

This is highly likely if the blower all works fine after it has time to melt the ice. You may notice no condensate now and a large puddle of water when parked after this occurs.

Don't touch it yourself if any warranty is in effect but just explain what happens and when as you just did here,

Yes, it sounds like freeze up to me too. Probably caused by a bad cycling switch, assuming it uses one. It's too new so we don't have any info on it yet.
