2005 Chevy Silverado ext cab 1500 4WD AC problems

I have intermittent cold air blowing, the hotter it is outside the more likely it will cut to hot. All during milder spring it was fine. Same story last year. No clicking when it goes off, it just starts blowing hot air, but only on driver's side, passenger side stays cool. Took to mechanic while it was working so they just charged it. Any ideas? TIA

That is most likely a bad temp door actuator for the left side. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Just had a Suburban with the exact same issue. Yours is much easier to access though.
