2003 Mercury Grand Marquis Heater Problem

Hey guys real quick, I turned on my heater yesterday for the first time and I heard a clicking sound under the dash. I believe it may be an actuator not closing cuz even when I turn the A/C on it's nothing but hot air. My question is can anybody give me the R&R time for the dashboard? Or do I even have to take it off? I don't want to try and fix it without knowing what i'm getting my self into. Thanx.

The blend door actuator is 4.0 without ATC and 5.2 with ATC and they say yes, the dash has to come out.

So it's 5.2 hours just to remove the actuators or is that including the dash?

The actuator is just 3 screws once the dash is removed.

You can loosen the dash and pull it to the rear and get to the actuator. I have a couple of techs that change it out in less than 1 hour.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
