I have the SES model with manual A/C, the blower won't work unless you slam the passenger door or rap on blower housing with something. I was thinking either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor, i'm just wondering which is more likely. I would really appreciate someones opinion, thanks.

The choice would be more like the blower motor or an overheated connector to the blower motor.

Good bet it is the blower motor. I've done a couple of them and what you find is rust under the squirrel cage from water intrusion.

They had a problem with those where water would leak down the seal around the cowl area and get into the blower motor. The water could also get into the blower resistor, so you need to inspect that.

There is actually a TSB on that concern:

Thanks guys , replaced motor seems to be working fine and I did not see any obvious signs of water intrusion so hope fully it will last. Thanks again

Good to read you got your problem resolved. Probably wouldn't hurt to perform that TSB. Just in case. Closed as solved. Can be reopened upon request by the OP. Smile
