2000 Windstar - No air thru defrost/dash/or floor Sign In

I have a 2000 Windstar V-6. No matter what setting I use, NO air or heat is coming through the defrost, dash or floor vents. I am hearing a steady clicking sound like a door or vent is trying to open or close. The only way I can stop the "clicking" sound is to set the temperature control to just past the coldest setting. If the setting is too far towards the hot or cold side then the clicking starts again and does not stop.

NOTE: Switching to "recirculate" does nothing to help.

I know I live in Florida, and it's supposed to be warm all the time but that's not true! Humidity + cool temps = Colder than a mother-in-laws kiss! HELP! PLEASE!

First I would find and test fuse and relay (if used) for the blower motor. If they check out ok then the motor itself could be a problem.

Any recent work that might be involved with this. Just a shot, T

Thanks, Tom... I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that the heater/blower motor works fine. It's just that nothing comes out of any of the outlets.

I appreciate your response!

OK: Now it sounds like a vacuum leak or disconnect but that usually still allows defrost only?? Chase down vacuum stuff which can look like wire and gets brittle and break and can be repaired with plain vacuum hose over the break if you find one.

At least rule that out. I think this may be a diverter door problem or debris or critter's nest making troubles but hard to say right now, T
