1999 GMC Savanah Van..5.7 Had the AC compressor changed...all works fine except rear air. I have a separate blower switch that works bur blows only warm air. All worked before new compressor. Something not hooked up or what? Is there a separate evaporator for the rear?

You likely have a plugged up expansion valve in the rear. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

The problem is only in the rear. Front is working fine.

The work was done at a shop...I know they flushed system...i assume they replaced what needed to be replaced....as I said before..the system works fine ..I am just not getting any cold air out the rear vents. They are operated by separate fan switch...which works

The expansion valve is mounted right at the rear unit evaporator. The only other possibility is the blend door actuator for the rear being stuck on heat. You could determine that by pinching off one of the heater hoses going to the rear and see if it gets cold. If not, then the expansion valve has to be the problem ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

If you had a shop perform the repair on the ac system, why are they not figuring out your problem? That would be considered a comeback. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
