Replaced compressor, (leaking profusely), accumulator, and orfice tube, all o rings. No debris on orfice tube. Flushed condensor, and evaporator and lines. Air flow thru the evap doesn't seem even. Added a small amount of 134a to ck for leaks. none found. Put on evac pump and the low side will not go into a vacuum

What do you mean by the low side won't go into a vacuum? If the low side isn't in a vacuum, neither is the high side.

If it won't pull a vacuum either the vacuum pump is not good or you have a hell of a leak.

Well I feel like I'm back in high school auto shop. The
o ring on the accum. outlet was to thick, pinched it. All is good. Thanks for letting me relive auto 101. I even used a vehicle specific o ring set from 4 Seasons.

My experience is that sometimes even the o-rings that come with a component are wrong.
