Hey guys new here so be kind,
I have a 05 f150 supercrew the ac problem started when new. the first time i crank the truck it ac works fine. when i go somewhere and stop in the hot sun and com back later (it could be a few minutes or hours later) and crank the truck and let it idle the ac will not blow cold at all just hot air. until i put it in drive or reverse and get going then the compressor kicks in and the cold air begins to blow. if i rev at ldle nothing happens i must be moving for the cold ac to work. also it doesnt blow as cold as my work truck a 03 f150 anytime. took to the ford dealer no idea. can anyone help its hot down in louisiana.

We have had similar problems on the P71 Crown Vic. We found the relay for A/C had gotten weak and had to be replaced. Hope yours is as easy.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
