windshield wipers Sign In

Ok all of a sudden during a bad rain storm I had my wipers on high then all of a sudden they stopped working. I realized the "ball joint" (behind the vent near the windshield) where it pops onto another bar to control the arm movement for the blades came off. Everytime I re-attach it and try to turn on the wipers it keeps popping off no matter the speed i set it on...What gives???

It's broken and has to be replaced.

Whats the part called and can it be done without mechanical help or whats the rough estimate to get something like this replaced?

You have to determine which joint is the problem and then see how the dealer sells it.
