why is it hard to put gas in car?HELP

i have a 2001 hyundai accent and i am having trouble pumping gas into my gas tank. it takes like 40 cents at a time and stops like its full but its not. takes forever to fill it up, what is the cause of this and how do i fix the problem?Frown

Sounds like you may have a plugged vent or valve. Basically when you are putting gas into your tank the displaced air has to go somewhere, so there is internal vents for this. If a hose or valve gets blocked then it gets hard to put gas in. Maybe get the codes pulled to see if there is any evap codes to give you a little help. Get under the car a look at the hoses to make sure nothing is pinched....

I had/ have that problem every so often, i wasnt sure why but i noticed if i pull the gas nozzle out about an 1/4 to 1/2 an inch it pumps fine.
