Well, you could try wearing some really thick gloves.

LOL MotorheadII. But I like mittens, they keep my hands warmer.
Jennifer about the only thing you can do with this is to make sure that the car is tuned to the best it can be and that all of the base settings like ignition timing and idle are set properly.
These older automatic transmission Hondas were well known for this complaint.
While you’re having the car set up at a shop have them check that the engine mounts are all intact and not sagged, allowing the engine to vibrate against the body.

Re: vibration Sign In

Dan, I like your motor mount suggestion. I've run across that a couple of times, myself.

Jennifer, you can test this yourself by idling the engine, and while the vibration is occurring, by using a long prybar to move the engine a little bit to see if the vibration is changed or eliminated. If so, your mounts have probably settled, allowing the engine to touch the body. You may need an assistant sitting in the car to monitor the vibration. Replacing mounts isn't a job you want to do in your driveway.

Mitten? What's a mitten? We don't know nothing 'bout no mittens here in the sunny South.

Cool

Okay, I will try that out and let you know if it helps.
