vapor canister leak Sign In

I have a 2002 gmc Sonoma sl 6cyl/4.1 ltr and I want to replace the hoses leading to the vapor canister....I need to know the size (diam), the type and the length to buy.

What are you going to do when you spend hours doing that and it doesn't fix it?

Some of those lines are metal and some are rubber and it's likely that isn't even the problem.

The right way to do this is to smoke test the system and fix the actual problem.

mimi vee: If it is rubber line is also going to metal may be crimped and sold that way. The other horrible reason could be rusted line means if you want this vehicle every last line fuel, brake, trans, rubber and or metal must be checked is OMG time and money both.
Again if rust a total check of vehicle's viability to continue with it vs give up.


If not at all that stuff lasts so diagnose why you have a problem sometimes just habit of overfilling fuel tank in cold and it gets hot outside will barf fuel and fool you?? Don't allow that,
