We have a 1992 Chevy K1500 4X4. Fuel tank was leaking. Replaced tank, sending unit and fuel pump. Replaced metal fuel line with fuel hose. Ran it for 4 days and then it quit running. Wouldn't start. Finally got it started and it ran for a few minutes and then stalled. Replaced distributor cap and one relay switch, but I'm not sure if it was the correct one. Someone I talked to said it sounded like a pressure problem, but then wasn't sure when they found out it ran for 4 days. Someone else said a pickup coil, and someone else said it sounded like a relay switch. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can get it started, but then it stalls and then will not start again for a while. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I hope you used proper hose as it does have to take higher pressure. They do make it.

Even though new the fuel pump may not be working properly and it must be checked, with a pressure check, T

We put the hose that the auto parts store said it would work. It said the hose woule hold more pressure than the truck needed. Do you think it could be a relay switch?

It could be anything causing this; you’re going to have to tell us is there spark to the plugs, what the fuel pressure is and whether there’s an injector pulse from the computer. Maybe with this information we’ll be able to help you a little better.
