How do I remove the stock windshield assembly arm from a 1993 chevy truck to replace it with a preassembled type?

 Although this is a Ford pic, when you raise the wiper arm, you should see a tab similar to the one in the picture. Either pull it out as in the pic, or your's may need to be pushed in, to take the spring pressure off of the arm; Then, just pull it straight off of the transmission pivot.
