Thats easy. Just drop a socket next to a car and it will roll to the "Dead center of the car". **** Now if you want "TOP DEAD CENTER" (TDC) of an engine >>>>>>>>>>>>Take the spark plug out of #1 cylinder. Bump eng over using starter till you feel air pressure with a finger in #1 cyl. Turn key off and continue turning eng by hand till timing mark on crank is at 0. You are now at TDC #1 cyl.
