THe vehicle is a 98 mercury mistake i mean mystique
having problems with the alt or battery 2.5 v6 2 days ago its just stopped running left it over night sratred next day fine?
drove about a mile home then it died again? lokked underneath at the alternator and the main wire was corroded and the rubber boot that covers it was of and the nut holding the wire in place was hand tight .
so i cleaned the connection and tighted it uo and the car stared right up ,ran great i put on headlights and the car deid
but the battery had a pretty decent charge to it i turn the motor over for like ten minutes until battery deid? not sure if its the battery or alternator
anyone with some suggestions.i also replaced coilpack, crankshaft sensor and camshaftsensor new wire and plugs? anything would be helpfull
