starting issue 1993 gmc safarri

found cause for engine not turning over,number 3 cylinder. full of gas.Pulled all of the plugs and none of the others have this problem.Engine turns over fine with the plugs out.Number 3 cylinder. sprays gas out,any ideas??
I really need some ideas on this please.........

Does whatever engine have one injector for each cylinder? If so it probably has one the way over fuels and leaks. Gotta get right on this as the engine now is hydraulically locking and the fuel will wash lubricating oils from cylinder wall AND can easily pass on and contaminate engine oil. Check that NOW - it may smell and read too full! Doesn't take much raw gas in oil to make it useless as engine lubrication - critically important of course,

It's a 4.3w motor,with cmfi with a single fuel injector which feeds 6 poppet valves.So far no gas in oil

You most likely have a bad regulator, line connection or injector. The #3 cylinder is the point where all the gas flows from that area. If you pull the upper intake, you should be able to follow the clean trail right to it's origin.

from my chilton and haynes manuals they state no repairs can be made,on the cmfi assembly.Therefor what can I actually repair under the manifold?It's in a safari van and every thing is very difficult to get to....I would like to fix it because it runs great uses NO oil and is all wheel drive.

If there are no problems with the line connections, then your going to have to replace the injecter.

Thanks a lot for your help. I am going to remove the manifold. what is the best way to identify the problem, if i can't visually find it? Can parts be replaced or do i have to buy the entire CMFI assembly .Any idea on the price? Should this be bought at the dealership?

For that one I believe it's a whole assembly only. You should be able to see the gas trail. It will be the clean spot.
